WCRLO Small-Scale Business & Self-Reliance Initiatives
At WCRLO, we believe that true self-reliance begins with economic opportunity. Our Small-Scale Business Empowerment Initiative is dedicated to uplifting indigent women by equipping them with practical skills, micro-business funding, and financial literacy. By fostering entrepreneurship and sustainable income generation, WCRLO enables vulnerable women to build successful small enterprises, achieve long-term independence, and secure a stable future for their families and communities.
Empowering Women in Business in Partnership with National Directorate of Employment NDE, Lagos State Chapter
February 14, 2019
On February 14th, 2019, WCRLO partnered with the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) to support 130 disadvantaged women in starting and growing small businesses.
The event was held under the leadership of Dr. Lawan Arugungu, Director General of NDE and Mr. Adebowale Ologbenla, Lagos State Coordinator. Each beneficiary (130 Indigent Women) received N30,000 in business grants as seed capital to strengthen their trade and achieve financial independence.
This collaboration reflects our commitment to practical empowerment: giving women the resources and support they need to build sustainable livelihoods for themselves and their families.

COVID-LOCKDOWN EMPOWERMENT FOR WIDOWS/INDIGENT WOMEN
On April 20, 2020, during the COVID-19 lockdown, sponsors donated N500,000 for WCRLO to support 10 women facing economic hardship. We identified women with urgent needs and gave N50,000 to each. 6 of the 10 beneficiaries agreed to appear in the photos below, demonstrating our commitment to transparency.
